Why Velocity for Performance

Most gyms run kids through drills.
We develop athletes.

A speed ladder and a whistle don't make a program. Velocity assesses each athlete, builds the plan, coaches with intent, and measures progress the way the best college and pro staffs do. The result shows up in games, not just in the gym.

01

A real sports-science approach

Movement quality, force production, and recovery programmed deliberately not improvised drill to drill.

02

Progress you can measure

Every athlete is assessed and re-tested, so speed and strength gains are tracked, not guessed at.

03

Coaches who develop pros

The same staff that prepares NFL pre-draft athletes runs the youth floor. Your athlete trains in that environment.

Test, don't guess

The numbers come before the plan.

Performance opens with a movement-literacy baseline: how well an athlete moves, before how much they lift, with ForceDecks and ForceFrame data where needed.

Retests run against the athlete's own baseline, on their own timeline. You see what moved and what didn't.

Every Level

Four tiers.
One for your athlete.

Training that fits an 18-year-old can hurt an 8-year-old, and training built for an 8-year-old will never develop an 18-year-old. Every athlete is placed in the tier built for their stage of development, so the work is always safe and effective.

Elementary · Ages 8–10

Foundational

The first real introduction to athletic training, built on movement literacy: coordination, body control, balance, and a love of movement. Fun, age-appropriate, and habit-forming.

Middle School · Ages 10–13

Ascend

Where movement becomes skill. Acceleration mechanics, change of direction, and an introduction to strength — the speed and coordination that set young athletes apart.

High School · Ages 13–18

Elite

The competitive high-school athlete. Real strength training, top-end speed, power, and the durability to handle a full season, built to make varsity and earn recruiting looks.

College / Pro · Ages 18+

Apex

College, pro, and pre-draft athletes. The highest level of programming: maximal strength, speed, and recovery, individualized to the demands of the next level.

 What We Train

The full athletic toolbox.

Six qualities, trained together. They are the foundation under football, baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, track, and every other sport your athlete plays.

01

Speed & acceleration

Sprint mechanics and the first three steps that win races and beat defenders.

02

Agility & change of direction

Decelerate, plant, and re-accelerate the movements sports are actually played in.

03

Strength & power

Age-appropriate strength that builds force, protects joints, and translates to explosiveness.

04

Mobility & movement quality

Move well before you move fast the base that keeps athletes healthy.

05

Conditioning

Sport-specific work capacity, so athletes are still dominant in the fourth quarter.

06

Recovery

A full recovery suite in the building rebuild the work instead of just piling more on.

Velocity Athlete Development Sports Performance Training NFL Offensive Line Offseason

Same floor

Middle School Athletes train where pros train.

The same coaches who prepare NFL pre-draft athletes also coach the youth groups. Same building, same standard, scaled to the athlete in front of them.

The Sports Science

A sports-science lab,
on the training floor.

The same testing platforms NFL and NCAA staffs run. VALD ForceDecks, NordBord, and ForceFrame, all in the building, not in a lab across town. Every number lands in your athlete's profile, and when one slides, the plan changes.

NFL Offensive Line Pre Draft Training

Joint and Muscle Isometric Strength frame

VALD ForceFrame

Isometric strength at the hips, knees, and shoulders: the joints contact sports quietly wear down.

Velocity Athlete Development Sports Performance Training VALD Force Plates

Force plates · the flagship

VALD ForceDecks

ForceDecks, twin force plates that read every jump and pull: how much force, how fast, and how evenly it splits left and right. Power, landing control, and an early warning for fatigue, in one test.

Bar speed, live

Vitruve VBT

Every rep on the bar has a speed. The load matches what the athlete actually has that day not what the sheet guessed.

 Inside a Session

What a session looks like.

A structure and system that trains athletes
Structure creates progress you can measure
Every day is themed to the demands of the sport

Step 1

Movement prep

A purposeful warm-up that primes the nervous system and the joints not just jogging laps.

Step 2

Speed & power

Sprint mechanics, jumps, and explosive work while the athlete is fresh.

Step 3

Strength

Age-appropriate lifting, coached for technique and progressed over time.

Step 4

Conditioning & finish

Targeted work capacity, then a cooldown that sets up recovery for the next session.

FAQ

What Performance parents ask us.

  • Start with a free evaluation. We place your athlete by age, training experience, and goals — Foundational (8–10), Ascend (10–13), Elite (13–18), or Apex (18+) and move them up as they develop.

  • Our youngest athletes train coordination, body control, and balance long before they load a barbell. Strength work is introduced when the athlete is ready for it, coached for technique, and progressed slowly  that's the whole point of the tiers.

  • Yes. Speed, agility, strength, and movement quality are the foundation under football, baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, and track. We build the general athlete first, then layer in the demands of their sport.

  • Every athlete gets a baseline, then re-tests against it  same tests, same equipment, on their timeline. Force plates and ForceFrame strength testing, laser-timed speed, body composition, and a movement screen all scaled to the athletes age. You see what moved and what didn’t.

  • Every athlete starts with a free evaluation. We'll show you where they are, recommend the right tier and schedule for their age and season, and walk you through everything there.
