Josh started Velocity Athlete Development back in 2016 after working with his son, Kayden and his teammates. He quickly recognized that there was a need to help offensive lineman develop their skills necessary to compete at a higher level in a more optimal and informative way than the traditional coaching model. Through his time and efforts, Josh drove and continues to drive the vision and direction of the company which has ultimately helped develop such names as Cole Strange, 1st round draft pick to the NE Patriots, Chandler Zavala, 4th round draft pick to the Carolina Panthers and Jody Fortson, 2 time Super Bowl Champion for the Kansas City Chiefs to name a few. In addition, there are over 170+ high school athletes who have earned scholarships while working with Velocity as well as many additional collegiate athletes that continue to train with the Velocity Team. In his early years, Josh competed in many sports including, Football, basketball, baseball and track as he grew up. He excelled in basketball and football through his high school years leading to many state level accolades and ultimately earning a full ride scholarship to play for the University of Louisville where he blocked across the offensive line including the Center, Guard and Tackle positions. He was a part of a NCAA record breaking offense where he blocked for Chris Redman (QB) that holds many NCAA records during their time playing together for the CARDS. Josh played and started for the CARDS from 1995-1998 helping the CARDS have their best turn around year ever from a 1-10 season in 1997 to a 7-4 season in 1998 and earning an invite to play in the Motor City Bowl in the 98 season.
